Game Week 2 Recap: Kalele Run Riot on Omujuma, Zimbe Bags a Hatrick

Ntare School old students, well wishers and the footballing fraternity again crowded Kings Park Stadium on Sunday 5th October as the Lions League returned for its game week two matches headlined by the Kalele - Omujuma derby.  We now take a look at the weekend’s football results, comments and reactions.

The early kickoff game saw Abazibu come from behind to secure a 2-2 draw against Nshera in a highly heated match that saw Abazibu’s Bogere Denis sent off for a serious foul play and injuring Nshera talisman WanMan leaving him a doubt for the next matches.

Sc Kalele on the other hand pulled off an exciting and thrilling experience as they trashed their bitter rivals Omujuma 5-1 to move into the top spot. Two goals from Mukama Emma saw him move his overall Lions League goal tally to 47 since making his debut with Kabali in season 7.

Ebichunchu pulled off a wonderful display of football with their 2-0 victory over Abashweki thanks to goals from Oscar and Marvin. Season 9 champions continue to look for their first win of the season. On the other hand season 7 top scorer and Kajogo’s striker Barnett Zimbe scored a hatrick against Shimba in their 3-1 victory with Disan Kaba scoring Shimba’s first goal of the season.

The Kashoro-Jabulani networking derby played to a 1-1 draw and Moses Asiimwe’s Machando run a mock on Mugudu as it put seven goals past them. Mugudu has so far conceded a stunning total of 13 goals within just a space of 7 days, a number that can only be matched with a north London club Spurs.

Kabali and Kisyanga drew their games 2-2 against Kafubs and Bonshe respectively. Kabali and Kafubs now move to 4 points as Kisyanga and Bonshe secure their first point of the season.

Kalele sits in the first position tired points with Ebicuncu who sit second simply because they have scored less goals , 9 goals just one less . Shimba, Mugudu, and Omujuma are yet to secure their first point of the season. Edmundo and Nsekuye lead the goal scoring charts with 5 goals and 4 goals a piece.
