Ntare Lions League Honors Fallen Comrades with Moment of Silence Before Kickoff

The Ntare Lions League observed a moment of silence before kick-off for all the games that were played on Gameweek 7 in memory of our dearly departed comrades.

In a spirit of brotherhood learned at Ntare School, all the teams stood in solidarity with Class of 2006-2011, Kisyanga FC that had lost two of their classmates Atwesigye Doribert and Chuwa Davis in the past month.

Atwesigye Doribert succumbed to gunshot wounds sustained at a hostel in Banda on Sunday, 29 September 2019 while Chuwa Davis lost a battle to cancer on Monday, 18 November 2019.

Doribert was a top performing student in his days at the great den, who repeatedly beat his class to the academic bursary. He was a National Water & Sewerage Corporation (NWSC) employee.

Chuwa Davis was an inspirational leader in his six years at the den. Right from his Senior One as Class Councillor, Chuwa went on to become Ntare School Council Vice Chairman (2008/2009) in his O'level and Speaker (2010/2011) in his A'Level. He was also a talented footballer, playing left back for the Ntare School football team.

The Ntare Lions League, and entire Ntare fraternity have lost brilliant individuals in the two, and commiserate with the family, friends and business associates of our classmates, roommates and old boys with whom some shared the best days at the den, and others, from whom, derived inspiration.

We shall always cherish the memories we shared with Atwesigye Doribert and Chuwa Davis. May their souls rest in eternal peace.
