With a 2-1 win over reigning Season X champions Nshera FC in matchday 14, Abashweki (class of 2013) booked their place in the season XI grand finale on Saturday, February 22, 2020 at Kings Park Stadium, Bweyogerere.
Aaron Ndahura continued his net busting spree with a goal of his own to extend his tally to 18 goals. The other goal was scored by Ampurire Bannet while Nshera’s consolation was by Jumbe Maurice.
Abashweki have won the Ntare Lions League title twice, the first being in Season 7 on their first time of asking and the second two seasons later, both coming at Gems Cambridge School, Butabika. The team have set their sights on winning the finale and etching their name on the league shield for the third time.
If Abashweki manage to lift the shield, they will become the first team in the history of the Ntare Lions League to win the title three times.
