Uganda’s premier alumni football league, the Ntare Lions League, will return for our twelfth season on May 9, 2021. Twenty teams will take part in this season, including two new entrants – FC Ensayi and Nturi FC. Ensayi are the Ntare School Class of 2012-2017 while Nturi are Class of 2013-2018.
The games will be played at the King’s Park Stadium in Bweyogerere on Sundays. And as usual, our beautiful ladies of Bweranyangi Girls School, who make up Bweras FC will be joining us for the third season running. We are excited to announce that the Elders’ League will be held once every month. The Elders’ League is a friendly match that will be played among teams comprising our senior old boys.
In addition to the internal league program, we shall have friendly matches with other communities like fellow alumni leagues and corporate organizations. We shall also have competitions in other sports like swimming and basketball.
Season XII promises to be a fun-filled event for all old boys of the great Ntare School, friends, family and well-wishers. All are invited to join us and network. The Season XII Finale will be played at home at the Ntare School football pitch at a date that will be confirmed.
Unlike the previous seasons, this season will be played under the strict observance of all Standard Operating Procedures to prevent the spread of COVID-19. That is, mandatory handwashing and temperature checks before entry. All members shall wear their masks and observe a social distance where applicable.
