Mukono! Machando Sinks ‘Favorites’ Kabali Into Depression

The Merchants of Machando FC, after one of the worst starts to a Ntare League season in recent times have sunk Season 7 Champions Kabali FC into fresh depression since the latter’s 9-1 thumping by Jabulani last season.

Kabali, who had registered a flying start to the season and have been consistently in the top 5 for the initial game weeks, swallowed five goals from the Merchants who had swallowed enough goals from the other teams as well this season to be that thirsty.

As if to make a statement that they’re back in the competition, Machando ran riot on Kabali with a brace from Gibson Arinda, and other goals by Onan Bamutungire and Arnold Tusiime. Machando were also awarded a penalty that was effortlessly converted by Mozes Asiimwe – or should we say Pozes?

A dejected Kabali camp held an emergency meeting after the game to consider options to check this depressing run. The other weekend, SC Shimba treated them to 3-0 beating.

“I think, as Kabali FC, we need to officially appeal to the league and have our season break. We resume next season. If we lost by 3 goals last week and we’ve swallowed 5 this week, don’t you think we shall concede 10 next week?” Kabali midfield monster Adolf Kandole was overheard telling his teammates in the emergency meeting.

According to Kandole, the team is no longer motivated to win and the red card added pepper in fresh wounds. He said that if they don’t get a break to re-organize, finishing the season lower than Mugudu is inevitable.

Kabali’s only consolation was from the penalty spot which Captain Marvin Sserwanga converted. Machando’s Asiimwe however, has different opinions on the penalty. After their game, he vowed not to read Sserwanga’s daily devotion again.

“I read ‘Marvin’s Share’ every day. I have been a fan of his works but I cannot read his things again after witnessing him faking death to be awarded a penalty. No! No! No!” Mozes ‘Petty’ Asiimwe told our reporters.

In the other games, Omujuma lost 2-1 to Nshera, Ebicuncu beat Nturi 1-0 while Shimba humbled Jabulani 3-1. Kalele continued their aggressive start to the season with a 5-2 beating of newcomers Ensayi while Kisyanga couldn’t hold off the might of a Mushweki and lost 3-2 to the champions. Kachanchali secured 3 points after their 2-1 win over Kashoro, Mungereza’s Abazibu beat Bonshe 3-2 and Kajogo pulled one against Mugudu to take home 3 points.
